Two complaints . First this is a short story not a book. Second, this is a cliffhanger. WHY write a short story that is a cliffhanger?This is a cute, funny story. It grabs your attention from the beginning and holds on till the end.
The characters are well developed and I enjoy the authors writing.
Do I recommend it to others? No, not unless you enjoy cliffhangers, which most people don't.
Will I read part two, if there is one. Yes IF I still remember this story by the time it comes out. I have already read number two in this series (actually read it first) and it has nothing to do with these characters.
This book left me very dissatisfied, feeling like I missed something.

I like this sweet story a lot. The characters are well formed and the plot is engaging. My only criticism JUST as the book is about to start getting somewhere, the book is over? What? Why? That's mean. My advice to the author is finish the whole story, then submit the book, otherwise I feel frustrated and that it wasn't worth the price.

I recently had the pleasure of reading this novella as part of the Sweet Christmas Kisses anthology and it was one of my favorite stories of the collection!
I loved venturing into the Ecuadorian wilderness in this fun story! The endearing characters, each with their own vulnerabilities and unique stories, were delightful and the storyline was entertaining. Full of humor and romance, The Wedding Promise left me wanting more. I can’t wait for the next installment in Melinda Curtis’s Bridesmaids series!
Anyone that knows me will know this book truly contradicts everything I go for in a book. Unbelievably, Mel has captured me with this one.
I prefer feeling like I am in the characters shoes,usually I can't get that feeling with a book written in third person and yet somehow I felt I was write there with the charcters.
Normally I have a problem with charcters falling in love right off. This book changed that too. I feel like it may be the resistance but I loved this book for sure!!
Tiffany is known as the runaway bride. She has 5 failed engagements and now she is in Ecuador trying to help get her family's chocolate business back in good health. While in the jungle, she runs across a big snake and a man. Jax is walking across Ecuador to honor a buddy that he lost. His prosthetic leg is really giving him problems and he seeks help from Tiffany and 3 nuns. In order for him to stay with Tiffany, they have to make a promise. Will that promise carry on or will it end in the jungle?
5 STARS, Hands down! Yes, I'm that enthusiastic about this new-to-me author. Please be aware this is a novella and one that leaves you crying for more. Not to worry, there are 2 following novellas that involve members of the wedding party, and to go with the ruffles of bridesmaids dresses is intrigue and our of country adventure. I am so happy I discovered Melinda Curtis, I'll be dipping into another series soon.
Tiffany Bonander is in a rainforest in Ecuador trying to save her families chocolate empire. Jackson Hardaway is trying to prove that he's not "a cripple" just because he lost part of a leg as a soldier. When Jax gets hurt trying to help Tiff, he can only stay at the convent if they are "unido", a type of poor man's marriage. Even though they haven't known each other long, they believe in their "vows" but will Tiffany follow through with this marriage? Since she's run away several times before, it will be hard to convince anyone that this time is forever. Loved this first book in the series (and the others also)!
